Westworld Season 1 Episode 5

If you're looking for a twisty glorious mess of a show, Westworld is for you! After last night's episode, it's certain that what we are watching in the show is stretched over two or maybe even three timelines!

Alright let's break this down, William and Logan entered the park in the past, we know this because you can clearly see that the Westworld logos are different when William and Logan entered the park and what we see in the new or “modern” timeline. In fact the only other time we see that old looking logo is, during Dr. Ford’s flashback on a lab coat.

Different logos are different.

Another piece of evidence is the fact that William and Logan don’t really interact with anything happening with the Man in Black and Dr. Ford. Going hand-in-hand with this theory is the notion that William, due to some trauma in the park, will turn into the Man in Black. Isn't it strange how we don’t know his character’s name yet?

Although there has been some back and forth among Westworld fans about this theory, Episode 5 seems to confirm the existence of at least two timelines when Lawrence was killed by the Man in Black only to show up as “El Lazo” in William’s timeline, how else can you explain that?

I think this conclusively proves that there are two timelines. I’m sure there are plenty of you who will argue that there could be multiple Lawrences running around the park which I think is highly unlikely or that the technicians completed his repairs in record time which I think is also just as unlikely.

El Lazo was already an established character in the William and Logan story. To have him played by Lawrence proves, that when the Man in Black told Lawrence they had met before, he was talking about exactly this, the time they knew each other as William and El Lazo.

And now for the third timeline! Fans all over the place, including Nerdist.com have come up with a theory that Bernard is not only an android, but an android with the consciousness of Ford’s old partner, Arnold. Ford said that Arnold was driven by personal tragedy, such as, maybe, a dead son just like Bernard? And while the androids keep talking to an “Arnold” as they malfunction, we, the audience, hear Bernard's voice in Dolores’s head as she goes off programming. But does Bernard just have the consciousness of Arnold, or is he an exact replica?

And there it is! I cant wait for the next episode so we can have confirmation on all this and see what else this show's got in store for us.

Microsoft Surface Studio

This is what happens when Microsoft goes full Apple and it is beautiful! The Microsoft Surface Studio has a 28 inch touchscreen with all the components built into the base and has a hinge they call the "Zero Gravity Hinge" that lets it go down nearly horizontal.

This thing looks really good, it comes with some decent specs too -

1TB, Intel Core i5 with 8GB RAM and 2GB GPU.
1TB, Intel Core i7 with 16GB RAM and 2GB GPU.
2TB, Intel Core i7 with 32GB RAM and 4GB GPU.

Captain America Civil War

We've been so excited for this movie for so long and then we kind of just forgot about it but now, it's finally a  few months away and we're all hyped back up again! Marvel has finally started test screening the film and the early reviews are in and it seems like we can put a lot of our fears to rest and ease our little heads over this movie being just a mini Avengers flick rather than a full fledged Captain America movie.

So far what we've got is confirmation that the movie is going to focus on Cap and the things that have transpired to cause the rift between him and everyone's favorite billionaire. The focus this time around though is going to be on the emotional and mental toll the previous movies have taken on the characters.

Amazon's Echo and Uber.

Amazon's Echo is smart. Like really smart! You can now ask your Amazon Echo to book you an Uber.  All you have to do is go into the Alexa app on your phone, in the skill section you add the Uber skill. It's that simple! You can even ask it where the Uber is, how long it'll take to get to you and even cancel it if you change your mind. The makings of Skynet? I think so.

iPhone 7 Rumor Mill

The iPhone 7 reportedly is going to have quite a few design changes from the existing generation, some of these changes are that the camera is now going to sit flush with the back of the phone and isn't going to be sticking out like in the current generation thanks to a slimmer camera module, another difference is that we aren't going to be seeing those antenna bands on the back of the phone anymore, antenna bands at the sides and around the top and bottom edges are still going to be sticking around, however.
